Just a small stroll near Bethlehem. Pencil provided. "That they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us." Acts 17:27.
This geocache is not difficult to find. The location was chosen to share just a little info on the church. This Lutheran church was organized in 1880, but a church building was not purchased until 1884. In 1896, a new and larger building was built on the piece of land the church is on today. The name of the church was changed from the Scandinavian Lutheran Church to the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1902. Unfortunately, the church was destroyed by fire and then rebuilt in 1908. Still the congregation grew and needed a larger church, so in 1951, a new building was constructed and completed a year later. An education unit was added in 1960. "You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
