Do you like free ice cream? Do you like geocaching? Can you TOLERATE members of Team Schnauzer?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, please come and join us on Saturday, August 15 in Ames as we celebrate our 5th Anniversary of our first geocache find. Ice cream, bowls, spoons, napkins and bottled water will be provided. Please bring a topping to share with the rest of the group. When you log your "will attend" for this event, please indicate what kind of topping that you plan to bring.
We will be protected from the rain inside of the shelter house (unless it is blowing sideways) and there are bathrooms on the premises. There is a playground a few feet from the shelter for the kiddies if they get bored. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash. This is an alcohol-free facility, so if you plan to come to the event and choose to bring your own beverage it must be alcohol-free.
We will have a CITO event in the same park earlier in the day, so please come for that if you can make it.
There will be a door prize drawing, a group photo and then the release of the geocaches. We will be placing several temporary caches right there at Daley Park and will have a logger for those.
So, please come and be our guests on August 15 as we celebrate five years of geocaching! Rain or shine we hope to see you there!
