How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A nice easy 1.5km walk. Beautiful scenery around you the whole time, with the Solent and the Isle of Wight on one-side and the fields and a golf course to the other. At the end of the trial is Fort Gillkicker, one of Portsmouths historical forts.

Here at 6th Gosport Air Scout the young people decided that they would like to obtain the Geocache badge.

To be able to do this we have spent the last few weeks learning about geocaching, finding a few caches and finished today by hiding our own cache.

Easy under foot with looses shingle in places. The cache is fairly easy to find and is aimed towards young families and small groups. Total elevation throughout is only 3m. Can be easily navigated by pushchair. Dogs welcome.

Contains swappables :) It would be nice to see if we can trade badges with local groups.

Happy Caching :)
