This geocache takes you a little ways away from the railroad and along the River Road in the Sabine River Valley. The Cotton Belt bridge is visible form the Hwy 155 Bridge but since there was no way to put a cache nearby safely I opted for an off the beaten path geocache of a completely different type from the other four in the Cotton Belt series. If a train happens to pass by you will get to here the horn echoe through the woods throughout the river bottom. If you would like a close up view of the the river continue on down River Road to the River Road bridge.
The cache is alongside the road. See the hint for how to access the cache and sign the log. Happy Caching.
SPECIAL NOTES:
These 5 Geocaches are located along the original 21 or so miles of the Cotton Belt Railway with the first being in Big Sandy and the last in downtown Tyler.
I did not locate a cache in Winona but rather suggest you find one that is already there and in view of the railroad tracks. So find Winona Girl Scout Troope 2989 GC55V7C for your Winona Cache.
Also, there is already a nice cache at the Cotton Belt Rail Station in Tyler. A must stop if you are going after my 5 Cotton Belt caches.
