Pour la majorité de l'année, traverser la rivière tumultueuse pour vous rendre sur la petite île est une aventure réservée aux kayakistes experts mais pendant quelques mois durant l'été il est possible de s'y rendre à pied sans se faire emporter par le courant. Il est plus sage d'attendre le bon moment que de risquer sa vie juste pour un petit sourire jaune de plus.
Elle porte l'attribut non-hivernal non pas à cause de son emplacement mais parce qu'il est particulièrement dangereux de s'aventurer sur la rivière en hiver. Attention aux roches glissantes!
