Geocache Description:

Prior to the res being constructed in 1958 and completed in 1959, this was the gold route for 328509 ounces of gold which was carted under police gaurd from Victoria to Adelaide in 1853. The res holds 73690ml when at capacity, and is fed in from tallaroop creek, which is a catchment area of 743square km. This a fantastic little spot to spend some time, have a picnic and relax with public toilets and wood fire bbq's. This is a very atypical cache with only log book so byo pen. Ftf magnet prize. Enjoy
