“A meet and greet at the outdoor tables in front of Yogi Castle and Chipotle at the Clemson Corner Shopping Center (across from Wegman's). No purchase is necessary... Just come on out and enjoy the company of fellow geocachers.”
This was the description of the first event we ever hosted. It also happened to be the first event we ever attended. We needed an event to complete the 7 Souvenirs of August challenge and figured other cachers probably did too. Happily we were right and people actually showed up. We had a great time talking geocaching and putting faces to cachers whose names had become so familiar from their logs.
We’d only been caching again for a year, but didn’t know how much of the experience we were missing. At that event we were introduced to challenges such as the Jasmer and Delorme. We were shown sites that track statistics. Having specific goals kicked us into high gear and we haven’t stopped since. That event changed everything for us. We’ve had a great year going to cool places, seeing things we wouldn’t have otherwise, and best of all, made many good friends.
This event happens to be on the anniversary of our 7 Souvenirs of August event. We hope to see you there!

Extra things to keep in mind:
- If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable at an event, please make sure that you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s).
- Each person attending will be responsible for any costs incurred for food and drinks.
- This location does have an outdoor patio. We will plan on gathering there if the weather permits.
