This is a place we love to go in the Bogue Chitto State park. This is my kids all time favorite part of the whole park. You can sit and enjoy the fun while kids splash around and play. I obtained a Geocaching permit and obtained permission to place this geocache.
Once you visit Bogue Chitto National Park, you will see and experience the beauty and magnificance of God's hand at work. He truly did spend a little extra time when He created Louisiana, and that is truly displayed at Bogue Chitto park:) It is everywhere you look, from the Oak trees(my favorite), The gum trees with their unique star shaped leaves, the beautiful cypress knees and moss, the Sandy beaches that are adorned with beautiful pebbles, the chirping of crickets, the singing of birds, or the call of a momma turkey. You may see a beautiful owl, a swamp alligator, a beautiful bee hard at work, or a lady bug resting on a magnolia flower. The treasure isn't hard to find and not deep in the woods. I chose this location because even though there is some tough competition for fun nearby you won't be able to join your kids on this attraction. You may however want to take a walk that is still in view and earshot of your child 16 and under playing. After a short walk take a shaded rest. While you are sitting down, enjoying a cool sip of water and maybe a snack remember to take the time to look around and appreciate the beauty of nature. Just how each of us is made unique so is each tree, plant, animal, organism. The treasure is hidden in a beautiful tree that I automatically noticed and thought how beautiful and unique it was. You will be looking for a container that has a twist top, is reddish Brown and about 6 inches... For the first to find there is a beautiful pendant or some signature items made by a cajun:) Check out the photos to see a preview!! There are a variety of items in cache, and hopefully you will find something you can now treasure:) A little lagniappe: This is the very first cache that my children and I have placed. We love geocaching as a family and have done it for years under my hubby's account. Finally I created my own account that represents our whole family... I also assigned each of us a cajun name that represents each person individually. Since I love owls my geocaching nickname is Mere Hibou Cher. I love making original signature items and cool containers. I hope you enjoy this one as I have made several caches, ready to be placed after this initial one:) Feel free to let me know if you'd like to see more, they will only get better each time.
