Geocache Description:

This cache is a regular size, camoed container, within 20' of the trail. It's about 1.25 miles round trip from parking, which means you'll walk past Sherman's Gultch, but if you continue down the trail, you will hit Novac's Tribute cache, Lisa's Mysterious Letterbox, and many other caches in the Cazenovia Conservation area off Burlingame Road.

M King had already passed 1000 finds when I met her a few years ago, hiking on a trail, but I recently noticed that she has passed 2000 finds, and has no tribute cache, so I decided to rectify that. I picked this area since horseback riding is allowed in the area, although I've only noticed it on the main trails, not on the one to Sherman's Gultch, where this cache is. The trail from the road goes down hill for just a short bit before leveling off and continuing in toward the cache.

The trail passing Sherman's Gultch is the prettiest in this area, in my opinion, but since the easiest access is to park in the lot, walk .22m along Burlingame road to the trailhead, and follow the trail, in to the cache, I leave it to you to decide if it is suitable for young children. Bushwhacking across private property is not allowed, and will bring you through lots of prickers, and over several streams that may be deep. The trail in to Sherman's Cultch is much drier than the trails over near Atwell's Knoll, but you will need to cross shallow streams a couple of times. I stayed dry when I placed the container.
