A non-bushwacking, all weather, all family cache at the intersection of NY, NJ and PA
This multi-cache will take you on a beautiful hike to the spectacular Point Peter Park overlookikng Port Jervis, NY. There is absolutely no bushwacking involved and the entire hike is in a forested area on a smooth, abandoned road bed with a slight gradient. The gps signal is steady and reliable for the entire route. Only the first checkpoint is somewhat difficult in that it involves a small container. The other targets are normal sized containers placed almost in the open behind trees right beside the trail.
CAUTION! This cache will take you close to a precipitous cliff. There is never any need to go near the edge, descend any of the bluff nor to ‘go over the wall.' However, watch the kids!
Park at N41 23.316 W074 41.500, at the end the secondary road marked “No Outlet” which is a continuation of Reservoir Ave. This will take you to a locked yellow gate which is the trail head to the first waypoint. The gps will tell you to bushwack up the hill but stay on the trail right to the cache.
Rather than provide encrypted clues, I have included three cryptic clues in clear text, similar to the clues found in cryptic crossword puzzles. (Which is to say that they never mean what they appear to say at first blush.) Study the clues carefully for, as in real life, the solution to a difficult problem may often be found at the very start if we but consider the facts at hand.
