Geocache Description:

This is a really neat, tiny little island, in the middle of a calm lake off Big Marine. As far as I know, the only legal entry is from the PWA (see parking waypoint).

In the interest of not disturbing GZ, the cache is NOT in the (abandoned?) critter house - I purposefully put it away from that area of the island. It's not even on that side.

I would advise against bringing powered watercraft here, there is a lot of vegetation and the water isn't very deep. BYOP. Be aware of bees, if you are allergic, this island seems to attract them in the summertime (just honeybees as far as I could tell).

I witnessed all sorts of birds, turtles, bees, and even hummingbirds while visiting this island. What did you see? Pictures are encouraged! Also note the other island caches on this lake, while you're here!

Please note - this cache is in a potentially dangerous location and seeking it is done at your own risk! There is no such thing as safe ice in the winter. Legal entry points (PWAs) are provided, other entry points may be considered trespassing on private property. The terrain rating reflects the need to travel on water.
