This is a perfect trail to bring an energetic dog to walk and play along on a hot summer day. The trees provide lots of shade, making it seem cooler than it actually is, and there are multiple access points to the river so your dog to hop in and take a swim. I stopped here for a while with Janey, my springer spaniel, so she could do just that. We left a tiny, micro cache in a nearby tree. Happy hunting:-)
