Welcome to New Vienna (North) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

iowaPete: GAH!! The tree is gone. Someone has committed a neatness. This location has been completely rehabbed and looks nothing like it did a year ago. There is a location nearby to hide a cache, but not one of this size. I will archive this cache, and possibly bring a new hide to this location sometime in the future. That is, if nobody beats me to it! [;)]

Thanks to everybody who came out and found this cache. It had a good run, but change is inevitable....

Geocache Description:

This cache placed as part of Hike-n-Seek 2015

Hidden with permission, town of New Vienna in cooperation with

Dyersville Area Chamber of Commerce

Welcome to the "eNVy" of Iowa.  New Vienna is tucked in between the city of Dyersville to the south and Luxemburg to the north.  Parking for this cache is available on the N-S gravel road just to the west of the cache location.  Please don't park on Rte. 136 as the road is busy most of the time.  Cache should be easy to locate and is big enough for swag and travel bugs.  Please trade evenly.  Replace the cache as you found it.  CITO if you notice any litter.  Thanks for visiting.

**Cache at your own risk**

Geocaching, hiking, backpacking and other outdoor activities involve risk to both persons and property. There are many variables including, but not limited to, weather, fitness level, terrain features and outdoor experience, that must be considered prior to seeking a Cache. Be prepared for your journey and be sure to check the current weather and conditions before heading outdoors. Always exercise common sense and caution.
**Remember to be good ambassadors to nature. We as geocachers have a responsibility to leave it as we found it, so others may enjoy nature's glory. Always replace the cache the way you found it, so others may enjoy the find.
