Butterscotch Fudge Bars
12 oz. butterscotch chips
1 cup peanut butter
8 cups crisp rice cereal
12 oz. chocolate chips
4T margarine
2T water
1 cup powdered sugar
1) Melt 6 oz. butterscotch chips and ½ cup peanut butter on low power in microwave, stirring every 30 sec. OR in double boiler.
2) Mix in 4 cups cereal until well coated.
3) Press into 9 x 13” pan.
4) Melt chocolate chips, margarine, and water together in microwave or double boiler.
5) Mix powdered sugar into chocolate until smooth.
6) Spread fudge over first layer.
7) Repeat step 1 and 2 with remaining butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and cereal.
8) Spread over fudge.
9) Set until firm, then cut into desired sized pieces.
