This cache is placed in the Riserva Naturale Bosco della Ficuzza.
Here there is the Wildlife Rescue Centre Lipu Ficuzza. The Centre is equipped with an outpatient visit, a surgical room and a nursery, where numerous abandoned chicks that come in hundreds especially in spring are welcomed and raised. There are different types of aviaries, for various uses: for rehabilitation, for quarantine, for conditioning before release, for research and for education. The animals, who come from all over Sicily, are immediately visited by expert vets who, on the basis of the diseases found, determine the type of treatment to be carried out. Here can be hosted up to 700 animals and on average each year 1.600 animals are hosted. The 45% of them is released. In the visitor center you can see rare examples of wildlife animals. The Centre is open daily and the visit is free.
The cache is near the Rescue Centre: take the path to Fonte Ramusa, going through a wooden gate.

Qui sorge il Centro Recupero Fauna Selvatica Lipu Bosco di Ficuzza. Il Centro è attrezzato con un ambulatorio per la visita, una sala chirurgica e una nursery, dove vengono accolti e allevati i numerosi pulcini abbandonati che giungono a centinaia soprattutto in primavera. Sono state poi realizzate una serie di voliere di vari tipi, per vari utilizzi: per la riabilitazione, la quarantena, per l'ambientamento prima del rilascio, per la ricerca e per la didattica. Gli animali, che giungono da tutta la Sicilia, vengono immediatamente visitati da esperti veterinari che, sulla base delle patologie riscontrate, stabiliscono il tipo di cure da effettuare. il Centro può ospitare fino a 700 animali e mediamente ogni anno vengono accolti 1600 esemplari, di cui il 45% viene rimesso in libertà. E' presente un centro visite dove è possibile ammirare rari esempi di fauna selvatica. Aperto tutti i giorni, la visita è gratuita.
La cache si trova nelle vicinanze del Centro: prendi il sentiero in direzione Fonte Ramusa e oltrepassa il cancello di legno.
