Geocache Description:

Another cache in the Reston area, this time at a once-favourite summer spot.

This container is a small mason jar filled with a log book, pen, and Canadian souvenirs.   Please replace exactly as found.  Enjoy!

The first Reston Fair was held on Aug. 4th, 1908.  Our great-great-great grandfather James Milliken was one of the original board members, and our family continued to be involved in the fair until the last one in 2009, when the RM celebrated its 125th Anniversary.   During it's heyday, the Reston Fair included entertainment, pancake breakfast, giant parade, baseball tournament, midway and activities for kids, as well as many entries in horse competitions, agricultural, horticultural, and home economics.
