Kirk F: Time to wrap this one up. There was more trash than I expected. Maybe we should go back in the spring.

Watch for a Leap Year event at Happy Joe's. Leap Year is on Monday. Should I have a Leap Year Eve party? It probably has to be on the 29th to get the souvenir.

Geocache Description:

Galena River Trail CITO

Saturday October 24 at 10 A.M.

The City of Galena has allowed caches to be placed along the River Trail. We can give back to the City by helping keep it clean.

There will be time during the CITO for stops at any caches you may not have already found. I will also be doing maintenance on all the caches.

We will meet at 10 am at the listed coordinates which is the trailhead. Cross the railroad tracks at the Depot and drive to the end of the parking lot under the bridge.

The trail is 3.5 miles long. Some may want to walk. I can't walk that far so I am bringing my bicycle. Whichever mode of travel works for you is fine. If you can only do part of the trail, that is fine too.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail.

Bring a pair of gloves or your favorite trash pick up TOTT.

*Please RSVP with a will attend so activities can be planned.
*Trash bags and haul off will be provided.
*Be sure to watch this event to keep updated of any notes or changes.
