Where the cache is hidden, will eventually be part of a planned 13 km Coastal walkway and cycleway between New Lynn and Te Atatu Peninsula.
A combination of board walks, roads, bridges and pathways will link to form this exciting new trail.
Stage 1 is almost complete, funding could delay the others, but hopefully within the next 5 years.
If you parked at the boat ramp you will see part of the new section on your left.
Thankfully you will not need to wait that long to come and find this cache; this is just the beginning.
