Geocache Description:

Ballater claims, and with some justification, to be the most picturesque Victorian village in Royal Deeside. It is famous for its royal connections, going back to Victoria and Albert, and is the closest settlement to Balmoral Castle. Many of the shops and businesses display the royal warrants of the Queen and Prince Charles. Ballater is also the birthplace of Sir Patrick Geddes (1854 – 1932) world-renowned biologist, sociologist, geographer, philanthropist and pioneering town planner. He was also an early eco-warrior, and coined the phrase, 'Think global. Act local'. It's a lovely place to stroll round any time of year, but especially so during Victoria Week in early August. At one time, there was a sign in the Post Office that said, “I may not have been born in Scotland but I got here as soon as I could!” Ballater is proud of the diversity in its community.

Follow the waypoints in order. Only one photograph matches each location. Once you work out which picture matches your location, write down the number against the corresponding waypoint.
