This cache is located in Tishomingo State Park. The Park has 13 miles of hiking trails and 3 disc golf courses as well as camping, canoeing, and swimming. To reach the cache requires hiking the Outcroppings Trail, with begins at a swinging bridge and makes a 2 mile loop. There is plenty of parking at the bridge.
The upper loop of the Outcroppings Trail is steeper, but has the best views of the cliffs, which are a unique feature of the Park. The lower loop along Bear Creek has fewer ups and downs and lots of turtles. The cache is near where the trail loops back to the bridge. Getting to the cache from the trail will require a short hill climb and some type of a rock climb. The point to the cache is not so much in finding the cache as in figuring out how to get to it to sign the log. This cache will require some ingenuity to acquire, the most direct route isn't always the best. If you enjoy getting out and exploring in the woods, you will enjoy hunting for this cache.
