Geocache Description:

Welcome to Thorne Bay’s corner of Prince of Wales Island,
in Southeast Alaska. Thorne Bay is known for its natural serene beauty,
easy going people and much, much more.

This Cache was placed near a local favorite view point of "Eagle Island" while not officially called that, typically a pair of Bald Eagles nest there. I've watched many a float plane, and boats come in and out of the harbour. Take a picnic lunch with you to sit peacefully and enjoy the view, or visit nearby Thorne Bay Cafe.

Head to the boat launch, take the path to the right, down to the water and the cache is hiding nearby. The "treasure" is the view, so take your time!

There are a few nice treasures and especially the FTF! Enjoy and be sure to leave us a photo of your adventure. :) ~Steve, Carla and Joseph
