Kirken
Vester Hassing kirke er opført omkring år 1200 i romansk stil og bærer præg af mange om- og tilbygninger. I 1500-tallet blev der ved skibets vestgavl opført et 17 m. højt kirketårn og cirka samtidig blev koret forlænget mod øst. Præsteværelset mod nord blev tilføjet i starten af 1600-tallet og i 1887 blev kirken restaureret og beklædt udvendig med nye granitkvadre. Tårnet blev forhøjet til 24 m. i 1906 og i 1976 blev et 150 cm tårnur installeret på nordsiden.
Klokkerne
Der hænger to klokker i tårnet. Den ene bærer indskriften: “I Herrens år 1463. Maria er jeg kaldet, herrerne fra Børglum Kloster lod mig (støbe).”. Den anden klokke, der er større, bærer indskriften: “Ud af ilden flød jeg, Claus van Dam støbte mig året 1642.”
Inventar
Altertavlen er fra 1876 med alterprydelse fra 1600-tallet og alterbordet under er ligeledes fra 1600, hvorpå der er målet de fire evangelister: Matthæus, Lukas, Markus og Johannes.
Prædikestol er lavet samtidig med alterbordet med samme inskriptioner og fattigblokken stammer fra 1700-tallet.

Church
Vester Hassing church was built around 1200 in Romanesque style and is characterized by several alterations and extensions. In the 1500s at the western wall, a 17 m high church tower was added and about the same time the choir was extended eastward. The vestry to the north was added in the early 1600s and in 1887, the church was restored and covered outside with new granite. The tower was heighten to 24 m. in 1906 and in 1976, a 150 cm clock tower was installed on the north side.
The bells
There are two bells in the tower. One bears the inscription: "In the year of our Lord 1463. Maria I called, the gentlemen from Børglum Kloster let me (casting).". The second bell, which is larger, bears the inscription: "Out of the fire I flowed, Claus van Dam molded me the year 1642."
Inventory
The altarpiece is from 1876 with altar ornament from the 1600s and the altar table below is also from 1600, which is painted with the four evangelists: Matthew, Luke, Mark and John.
The pulpit were made around the same time as the altar table with the same inscriptions and the poor box is from the 1700s.
