Geocache Description:

Come one...come all.  It is an alien invasion in the ONF with two of Florida Finders Fest weekend’s events ---AFDB (Aluminum Foil Deflection Beanie) and the Night Gauntlet!  Once again they have been combined into one event!

Festivities will begin at 7:30 pm and end approximately at 10:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015.

We all have those nights we don't remember, those days that seem to go by without a blink.  Alien abductions have been happening for years, accounts of little people coming from the sky, those bright lights shining down into out windows with a dark figure walking towards us...those days of something coming out of the sky in the middle of the woods.  Some people are afraid of what happened or maybe happen, some people never come back, and some of us...well we celebrate it and welcome that alien probing with open arms!

Alien Probing in the ONF has always been well know, so Clan Riffster thought he would avail himself of this opportunity to educate the masses on the illustrious AFDB, or Aluminum Foil Deflection Beanie, the only headgear known to prevent the unwanted advances of amorous space aliens. For the educational aspect of this event, only your presence is required.

Afterward, there will be an AFDB contest!   …AND for those brave enough to venture out into the woods there will be a Night Gauntlet!

There are three levels of participation in the AFDB Contest:

1 ) Participant.
Participants should arrive with their AFDB properly deployed. (For you Bulldog fans, that means "on your head".)

2 ) Judge.
Those without an AFDB will be tasked with judging those who have an AFDB. Judges should come prepared with a wry sense of humor and a loud voice.

3 ) Mook.
Those who can't participate due to a lack of an AFDB, (or concerns of possible conflicts of interest due to past probing incidents), and refuse to partake in the poking fun at others by acting as Judges, shall be hearafter known as Mooks, unfit for polite society.
The group will be divided into its respective three parts, and the judging shall commence forthwith. As participants get voted out, they shall become either judges or mooks, depending on their attitudes. Voting shall be by acclimation, with the ultimate winner being the person who the others yell the loudest for.

The awarding of prizes and gobs of schmoozing will follow, not to mention the Night Gauntlet!

The NIGHT GAUNTLET! will be a friendly yet competitive race in the deep dark woods of the ONF! Face your fears of possible alien probing or abduction and see if you have what it takes to earn bragging rights (and a prize or two) in the dark. In the spirit of The Gauntlet held each year at Florida Finders Fest, this will be a semi-competitive, somewhat organized, get lost in the woods, geo-fun kinda caching activity involving a short hike, caches, bonus items, and loads of fun.

Please email gcbabyruthie@gmail.com with your team information if you wish to register (team name as well as who will be on your team)!!!
