Geocache Description:

A meet and greet in Plymouth's Central Park for geocachers and GeoDogs to get together and say hi! All welcome and dogs not compulsory. :)

We are geocachers from Plymouth and regularly go out caching with our GeoDog Meg, who was the inspiration for our caching name. We thought it would be nice to meet up with fellow cachers and GeoDogs in Plymouth and the surrounding area, although please note that you don't have to bring a dog along (or indeed be based in Plymouth) to attend! All are welcome and we'd love to get to know others who share our love (obsession!?) of geocaching. :)

We will meet in Central Park, Plymouth at 6pm-7pm on Monday 31st August (bank holiday Monday) at the benches opposite Pounds Park. The coordinates will take you right there if you're not overly familiar with the park. It's a lovely place to go for a walk, a picnic or to let the dogs run around. There is plenty of parking at the Milehouse park & ride and you can also park in the nearby streets around the park. Those along Peverell Park Road will provide the closest parking to the meet location. We will still meet even if it's raining but obviously you may need a coat and/or umbrella!

If you're not familiar with the location, there is more information about the park available on the council's website at http://www.plymouth.gov.uk/centralpark. There is a cafe available at the nearby Life Centre but I'd probably recommend bringing a drink with you. Feel free to bring a picnic if you want but please remember there are likely to be a number of GeoDogs running around who may jump at the chance to 'discover' a sandwich! ;) Please feel free to bring trackables to swap and/or discover. Meg has a 'Log My Dog' tag that you can discover and there are several caches within the park if you'd like to grab some before or after the meet.

Please remember to bring dog pooh bags with you if you are bringing your GeoDog along. Cachers are welcome to stay longer than 7pm if they wish as the park is open 24/7. :)

This event will also qualify for the "Meet Your Road Trip Crew" souvenir for the Geocaching Road Trip 2015, so if you still need to bag yourself this souvenir then pop along.

As I said, all welcome, with or without GeoDogs! :)
