Geocache Description:

Siamo a Calamosche, la spiaggia più famosa della Riserva di Vendicari.
Calamosche, meglio conosciuta dagli abitanti del posto come “Funni Musca” è una caletta sabbiosa che si estende per circa 200 metri, delimitata da due promontori rocciosi che fanno da riparo alle correnti, con il risultato di un mare sempre calmo e cristallino.
Un’incantevole piscina naturale ideale per fare snorkeling. Nuotando verso la scogliera ai lati del golfetto, dove il fondale è più profondo, grotte, cavità e anfratti ospitano una variegata fauna marina.




L’accesso diretto a questa spiaggia è garantito da un ingresso dedicato, raggiungibile dalla SP19. Una volta arrivati al parcheggio attrezzato, bisogna imboccare un sentiero di circa un chilometro. Un piccolo sacrificio ampiamente ricompensato una volta arrivati, quando vi si aprirà davanti ai nostri occhi un luogo incantevole, un vero paradiso naturale!

Nel 2005 è stata insignita dalla Guida Blu di Legambiente del titolo “Spiaggia più bella d’Italia”.



Piccole curiosità: Calamosche una delle location preferite dalle più importanti agenzie pubblicitarie per i loro spot. Un esempio? Lo spot di una nota compagnia telefonica con protagonisti Aldo Giovanni, e Giacomo. COME ARRIVARE A CALAMOSCHE

TIPO DI LITORALE

Per la sua particolare conformazione, Calamosche offre in un piccolissimo tratto di costa un litorale sia sabbioso che roccioso. La piccola striscia sabbiosa è infatti racchiusa da due promontori rocciosi, rendendo questa spiaggia ideale sia per gli amanti della sabbia, sia per gli amanti dei fondali limpidi e profondi.
Una spiaggia unica al mondo, una delle più amate dai praticanti di snorkeling.

We are Calamosche, the most famous beach of the Vendicari Reserve.
Calamosche, better known by locals as "Funni Musca" is a sandy cove beach that stretches for about 200 meters, bounded by two rocky promontories that serve as shelter to the current, resulting in an ever-calm sea and clear.
A lovely natural pool ideal for snorkeling. Swimming toward the cliffs on either side of the gulf, where the bottom is deeper, caves, hollows and ravines are home to a variety of ocean life.




Direct access to this beach is secured by a dedicated entrance, accessible from the SP19. Once you get to the equipped parking, you have to take a path of about one kilometer. A small sacrifice amply rewarded when you arrive when you will open before us a lovely place, a natural paradise!

In 2005 she was honored by the Blue Guide of Legambiente title of "most beautiful beach of Italy."
