Geocache Description:

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in the Australian Football League

during the regular season.

This decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission from 1942 to 1945 due to World War 2.

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if tey have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1954 Brownlow Medal was won by Roy Wright from the Richmond [tigers] Football Team.

He had 29 votes.

The cache may be hard to get if there are sporting events on.

The cache is a small screw top container painted. It contains logbook and a few swaps.

Watch out for muggles and for golf balls if golf is being played. Golf is only played during the Winter months.

Keep an eye out for snakes during the warmer months.

Enjoy the hunt in this small country town.
