From the geocache location, looking towards the water is a small "pool" that is a natural spring. This location is where the residents of the community of Buckle's Point would collect their water in the Spring and Summer before the introduction of indoor plumbing and water service to the houses in the community. Once a thriving fishing community, Buckle's Point (now incorporated with the town of Forteau), now has only 1-2 year round resident families.
