Geocache Description:

Thanks again to Cachin'Cari for helping me with this cache and also a thank you to 4wheelingirl making this cache possible. This should be an easy find. Please avoid parking in any yellow zones near the firehall.

The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1910 and the first firehall was located on Carson Avenue where the Petro Can now stands. (There was some talk of a fire department prior to this located near where Fraser Village is now but I have seen no records of this.) The current firehall was built in 1958 and also housed City Hall. Two more truck bays were added in 1979 and the current office and meeting room were added in 1986. Hall 2 in Red Bluff was opened in 1981 and Hall 3 on the Westside was opened in 1999. This Geo Cache is dedicated to all the past and present (and future ;) Volunteer Firefighters who proudly serve their community.
