Doi ani, hutanii din Ciumarna au strans la piept icoane si odajdii, praznicare si obiecte de cult, ca nimic din sfintenia vechii biserici domnesti sa nu piara sau, Doamne fereste, sa se strice intr-un fel.
Nu au tocmit pe nimeni pentru o munca atat de grea si plina de rabdare. Cale de 50 de kilometri, cat desparte Campulung Moldovenesc de culmea cea inalta a Ciumarnei, hutanii au vrut sa poarte "Casa Domnului" chiar pe manurile lor, asa cum sta de regula pictat pe peretele din pronaos orice ctitor voievodal - cu miniatura bisericii in palma si coconii domnesti alaturi, ca un legamant de ocrotire, facut deopotriva tarii, familiei si lui Dumnezeu.
