Geocache Description:

My oldest son loves trains! Whenever we go into the city he begs us to take the LIRR and he also plans out the route on the NYC Subway. I think it's amazing how much he knows about trains, so I decided to make this geocache.

For this geocache, go to the posted coordinates and figure out the questions below. Each one's answer will give you a number in the final coordinates. The coordinates you need to figure out are below:

N 40 40.ABC  W 073 30.DEF

A.   There is a small triangle-shaped park across the street from the station. What animal is there a statue of?

A seahorse (A=2), A seagull (A=3), A tiger (A=4), or a crab (A=6)

B.   In that triange-shaped park, there is a flagpole. How many flags are on it? Subtract 2 from that number.

C.   There is a gazebo is the park. How many sides does the larger roof have? Subtract 2 from that number.

D.   There is a clearance for cars going under the platform. Add all four digits on the sign. Subtract 4 from that number.

E.   Go to the easternost staircase to the platform. Count how many steps up it takes to get to the platform. Subtact 32 from that number.

F.   The station was formerly known as what until 1891?
