The St. Charles City-County Library District and Foundation and the St. Charles Community College and Foundation collaborated to create this half-mile trail that champions family connection, early childhood development and health-and-wellness.
Stories are handpicked by library staff with a child’s enjoyment in mind. The actual pages are separated from the book and mounted on wood stations along the trail so when you’ve read the whole story, you’ve completed the walk. Stories change out the first of every month to encourage families to return and take a new walk!
The Storybook Walk begins where the orange parking lot intersects with the trail and continues to the right, counterclockwise around the lake. It is open daily year-round from dawn until dusk.
These two foundations enjoyed bringing this concept to life for our community and hope it brings you joy and an opportunity to make life-long memories.
The closest parking to the cache is available in Section 9 of the Red lot, accessible via the South entrance of the college.

Congratulations to NRL for first to find! *My apologies if the coordinates seem a bit off. My iphone has an accuracy of about 20 feet. Will plan on going back to the cache location and re-check the coordinates.
