Il Monte Saraceno, ricoperto a pinete naturali di pino d'Aleppo e macchia mediterranea, si affaccia sul Mar Adriatico. La sua altezza varia tra i 230 e 260 metri, ospita una antica necropoli daunia del IX secolo a.C. ed è classificata come sito di importanza comunitaria (SIC).
Il sentiero che parte dal versante nord del M. Saraceno, in alcuni tratti molto ripido, può essere molto caldo durante la stagione estiva poichè completamente esposto sotto il sole, si consiglia vivamente di percorrerlo nel tardo pomeriggio (circa dopo le ore 17) quando è in ombra.

Mount Saraceno, covered by natural pine forests and mediterranean shrubs, overlooks the Adriatic Sea. Its height varies between 230 and 260 meters. It is home to an ancient daunian necropolis of the ninth century BC, and classified as a Site of Community Importance (SCI).
The path from the North side of Mount Saraceno, in some points very steep, can be very hot in the summer season because fully exposed to the sun, you are strongly advised to follow it in the late afternoon (about after 5:00 pm) when it is shadowed.
