A traditional cache at a beach we think is great!
Croy is a great big beach with fantastic views of Ailsa Craig and Arran. Culzean looms large over the southern end and casts an anti-geocaching shadow over much of the beach. The Culzean NTS estate is designated as a site of special scientific interest and as such do not allow caches. Before realising this the cache was placed very nicely but inappropriately. It was so well placed it took us 5 mins to find our own cache 3 days later and with GPS. Hence at the second attempt it's now housed at the northern - and more interesting - end of the beach. Please be careful on the rocks especially if they are wet, there should however be very little walking on rocks needed to get to the cache, and remember that this end of the beach is relatively inaccessible at high tide.
