Coed Felin is an ancient woodland situated in the heart of Lisvane in north Cardiff. This short series is really aimed at new geocachers and in particular for younger geocachers who should be able to find all of these fairly easily (with the exception of ‘Geocaching not Prohibited’ as this will require a taller Geocacher to locate). A pen / pencil will be required and tweezers may be useful for the nano.The wood has clearly marked paths and all the GC’s are located alongside one of these. Parts of the wood can be muddy when wet although the paths are well maintained. A walk through Coed Felin provides the opportunity to go Dragon hunting, spot a Basilisk, view a tree sculpture and the young at heart can be distracted by a game of ‘Pooh Sticks’ as well!
Beware of Dragon: Every Full Moon the Coed Felin Dragon awakes and breathes fire, destroying everything around it. This is why when you find the Dragon you will see that not much grows there.
