Park on a residential street and enjoy the view. A very short walk will net you a cache. You do not need to cross into the fenced area.
My son always called this area "The Waffles" because of how it looks in Google Earth from above. It's only appropriate that this is his first hide!
Redwood City maintains a small garden outside the fenced area containing two squat water towers. There is a great view of the Bay from the top of the hill.
