Please RSVP at least 2 days ahead. Welcome to Berks County's premier Geocaching Event! This event occurs monthly every Third Wednesday. Check the page each month to make sure you have the correct coordinates. (The first Third Wednesday occured on March of 2005; WE'RE NOW ON OUR EIGHTH YEAR!!!) When is Third Wednesday? It's not the first or second Wednesday, always the Third Wednesday of each month. More specifically, we start at 5:00 and usually carry on till 7:30 at the earliest (sometimes we stick around till 8:30). If you can't make it for exactly at 5:00, no problem. You're not considered late unless you arrive after everyone has left. It isn't uncommon for cachers to show up after 7:00 with the majority of cachers coming in around 5:30 to 6:00. Extra things to keep in mind: If you pick up a Travel Bug or trackable coin at one of the events, make sure you log it out so it doesn't show up in the events list. If a trackable sits as being listed in the event for a couple of months, the cache owner is the one that gets the e-mail from the TB owner(s). The bill for what you eat sometimes comes as a whole group bill, but mostly it is done by table. The bill will usually be tallied depeding on where you are sitting when you order. It helps to have cash for the event since not all places will do a partial bill on a credit card. Since we are a large group, gratuity is included on the checks and is 15% to 18%. It is usually listed on the check with the tax amount. Please make sure you include that when you pay.
