Bridgnorth Bowling Club (B.B.C) was founded in 1596 and is one of the oldest clubs in the UK. It was originally located at the Hundred House on the Ludlow Road but moved to its present location in 1906 when the land was leased from Apley Estates.
The current clubhouse was built in 1997 following a Lottery grant and we believe it to be one of the best in Shropshire. .
The club runs a number of teams in the local leagues of Mid Shropshire and Highley
Additionally the club has a strong social side and holds regular weekend events. One of our longstanding traditions is the Thursday night tea that has been running for decades. It is followed by an evening of social bowling where new and old members bowl in an informal competition.
