Geocache Description:

This is my 15 year old son, Ben's 1st Geocache hide!!  You are looking for a small cliptop container in a camobag; Please replace carefully as found.  Many thanks and Good Luck!!

This Geocache is situated off a public footpath linking Cuckoo Lane and Bury Hill, Winterbourne Down, Bristol.  You are looking for a small cliptop box in a camo-bag.  The cache contains a logbook, a variety of swap items  and a pen.  Please be careful if walking along Cuckoo Lane itself, as it is a relatively busy local cut through to and from the Bristol Ring Road (A4174).  Parking is not easy directly next to the footpath stile, but you can park further up the lane.  The footpath itself is popular with local hikers and dog-walkers, so please be on the lookouts for Muggles/Puggles!  Please replace carefully as found.  Many thanks and Good Luck!!

Winterbourne Down is a delightful west country village, within the civil parish of Winterbourne.  It is very picturesque with stunning views of the local countryside and the local viaduct.

The village church, All Saint's Winterbourne Down, is situated high up on a hill overlooking the parish.  It is over 150 years old and was created by the Victorian archirect George Edmund Street.

Winterbourne Down village is situated midway along the famous and beautiful Frome Valley Walkway.  The River Frome is a tributory of the Avon, and the Frome Valley represents an important natural, green corridor through the villages and farmland of South Gloucestershire, and a beautiful haven for local wildlife, .  The Walkway runs 18 miles (29 Kilometres) from the source of the Frome in the Cotswolds to Castle Park, at the very centre of Bristol.

Many Congrats to Leonards193 for FTF
