Il Semaforo del Montaccio è situato in corrispondenza della cima del poggio omonimo, a un'altitudine di 246 metri. Attualmente nella zona è presente una torretta antincendio; sono visibili anche dei ruderi di una struttura precedente, di cui non ho trovato notizie. Da qui si gode un'ottima vista sulla costa toscana e sulle isole dell'arcipelago. È raggiungibile sia da Castellaccio sia dalla litoranea (dalla spiaggia del Maroccone o da Calafuria). Il Montaccio segna il limite della Riserva Naturale di Calafuria, caratterizzata da una vegetazione a ginestre, lecci, pini marittimi e pini d'Aleppo.
The Montaccio Semaphore is situated on the top of the hill of the same name, at an elevation of 246 metres. Nowadays in the area there is a fire control tower; there are also the ruins of the old structure, but I haven't found information about it.
