The Whitsunday's is well known for the beautiful ocean views and this location will not disappoint. The cache is located along the Bicentennial Boardwalk which will take you for a picturesque 3.7km walk from Cannonvale Beach to Airlie Beach. The walk boasts some of the most magnificent mainland views, from secluded bays, a marina and the fun and relaxing Airlie Lagoon. The boardwalk is well lit and can be enjoyed at any time of day or night.
If you are looking for more than a walk or a run for a workout then take advantage of the free outdoor gym which is located close by.
Don’t forget to bring a fishing line as the fishing from the rocks is almost guaranteed to catch you a nice feed of fresh fish which you can then cook on the nearby barbecues. Those with boats can take advantage of the boat ramp with lots of free parking available.
Whatever is your interest you are sure to find something to keep you happy.
Geokids and those of a smaller stature may need a hand in reaching the cache, so it would be best suited for at least two persons retrieve. Watch out for mugglers!
