Geocache Description:

The Yarra Expedition Part 2: Herring Island to Dights falls
Walk the path, and journey to the source. These are not metaphors. They are instructions
The Event Series
This is the second event in an expedition to cache along the entire course of the Yarra river. The purpose of this event series is to travel the river from its end to beginning and see it in all its form, its diversity, who it homes, its changes, bends and beauty. The second part of the expedition will have us travelling past Riverside Park, Yarra Bend Park and Collingwood Children's Farm

The Event PART 2 - Bike ride from Herring Island to Dights Falls
We will be starting where Part 1 left off, Herring Island. Meeting at the Posted coordinates - Herring Island Landing at 9am. The event will run for half an hour and conclude at 9:30am where those of us doing the ride will depart. We will be following the Capital City trail, to the Main Yarra Trail, finishing at Dights Falls Park.
In summary: Event time is 9am - 9:30am. You do not need to do the ride to do log the event
You may also walk or kyak the distance. The majority of us will be doing this on bike&
You will need a helmet and to obey road rules at all times
The estimated ride will take 1 hour if we did this without stopping for caches....yeah right!
