The Agate Mickey caching team was formed in August, 2004. They chose this name to represent them for obvious reasons (Agate-Jon & Mickey-Kristine). They met in college in Ames, Iowa a few years before that and became a team of other sorts from that meeting. Now they have a caching son (Mars_Rover) and a caching daughter (10PinkTARDIS) to complete their caching family. YES! They are the team who leave a "Trademark Polished Lake Superior Agate" at their finds. In their first 10 years of caching, they found 367 hides for an average of almost 37 per year. This year they have already found 1637 and will have 2000 finds by the time this is published. Also, they have become total FTF Hounds this year as they have found 197 First To Finds (FTF's) in 5 states. Other than caching and raising their kids, this pair are accomplished musicians with Jon playing the Drums/Percussion and Kristine Sings and Plays the Flute (although not at the same time) and are very active with these talents in their church. I first met the Mickey half at a FTF attempt last winter and have subsequently been very close caching buddies & have shared many FTF's with the Agate Mickey team and been on many Wild & Crazy caching adventures with them and have found this team to be a caching force to be reckoned with.
