This cache was proposed by a Boy Scout working on his Eagle Award in August 2014, the Community Garden. The lot is at the edge of the Christ Episcopal church propery and is between the playground and a private residence. This area was unused due to the standing water problems, cypress knees and general poor soil conditions.
The scout and Troop 98 removed all the grass and soil, graded it towards the East, removed a tree and dug and sloped a drainage ditch to the street. Garden beds were built 10 inches up, garden soil added and gravel paths were built in between the beds. The scout was awarded his Eagle in August of 2015 and has become an enthusiastic gardener and geocacher. There is ample parking near the cache and it was placed with the permission of Rev. Harry Jenkins, a future cacher.
