Geocache Description:

This is my first cache! I have placed it next to where i work so that i can easily check and maintain the cache as i will pass it every day.

I have placed the cache close to the fishing pond as it is a popular place for dog walkers and cyclist's plus you could easily carry on to do the other caches placed around the Apedale valley. There are swans on the pond which have produced eggs for the last few years, unfortunately this years did not hatch but other years have been successful. The Apedale heritage centre is also close by and is worth a visit as you can learn all about the area and also has a steam train that runs at certain times of the year.

The cache is placed around the perimeter fence of Thorp precast close to the corner of the pond. THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER THORP PRECAST as the cache is very close to the road. It is a quiet road but there are lorries that come in and out of the local companies so be wary of children and dogs.

I would like to Thank Thorp precast for allowing me to place this cache.

There are places to park next to the cache and it is also accessable to prams and wheelchairs. I have placed the cache low down so small children can reach for the cache. Please place the cache with the black base at the bottom to keep the log dry. You will need a pen/pencil to sign the log.
