Located approximately 0.70 mile south of the Mesilla Dam on the West mesa.
This cache is located on the west mesa. You can hike in from the Mesilla Dam like we did. Cross the dam and small bridge and follow the main road up the mesa till you come to the chain link fence. Cache is aproximately 0.55 miles from the corner of the fence on the south. If you drive across the dam just close the gates behind you but once you reach the fence ATV's or jeeps would be recommended due to the rough roads and loose sand.
Keep a keen eye for creatures that can bite or sting. Please carry water and a cell phone.
Cache is a standard ammo box stashed under the yucca. Items are the Austin Beara (International Bear of Mystery), 3 LCHS antenna balls, Crown Royal bag, 2 Az. D'backs keychains, a Winchester Mystery House token, Geomouse #10, a snowman, a beverage cooler, STS-102 mission patch, log book and camera.
