Geocache Description:

This is my favorite bridge - read below to find out why. An easy cache and a typical hide for this sort of structure. Located in the Wakefield subdivision.

This bridge has been here since we built our house on Columbia Circle in 2003 - and I can almost see it from my front porch. However, for a number of years, the bridge went nowhere - it simply spanned the creek. Then they began building roads on the west side of the bridge and I began to get excited. Sure enough, this became a quick way to get headed north on SR 37 or Bluff Rd. It cut 1.5 miles and at least 3 minutes (20%!) off of my drive to work - not exactly an earth-shattering difference, but notable - especially when I am running late! So it qualifies as my favorite bridge simply for its utilitarian role.

I now pass over this bridge pretty much every day - and often multiple times a day. There had been another cache hidden here - and it was among our first finds - on only our 5th day caching. When I saw that cache get archived, I jumped on the opportunity to place one so close to our house.

This is a typical hide for a location such as this. Please replace the cache where you find it.
