Geocache Description:

Cache located near OP 15, on the north moor and southern limit of the circular road.


This structure forms one of seven now left standing on the moor, and used to be a shelter for observers when artillery was used on the moor. Although no longer used for this purpose, it is still in use as a training objective, shelter and command post.

The cache is at the southern limit of the military tracks in the area.

Please Note: This is a Military Training Area on which live firing and other pyrotechnics may be used. The area is generally open public access. One of the safety rules for public access is:- Do not, (and ensure that children do not) approach, touch or pick up any metal objects lying on the ground. Please obey all byelaws and locally posted information concerning times when the area may be closed. These may be physical barriers, flags or lights.
