First a little about my name: Kieft is a portion of my last name, which is dutch. The origin word is kievit which is a bird native to the Netherlands. As a child I would ask my dad what a kieft looks like, he would pull out a $5 bill and say "a lot like this kingfisher" which brings us to my cache name: Kieft's Kingfisher Cache.
My kids and I decided to place this in our neighbourhood while out on our bikes one day. We made up the container and placed it the very next day. We made it as close to our friend Buddington's place (who we recently infected with the geocaching bug) as we could so they would have another within walking distance to find with their two amazing kids.
There is no need to jump fences, or trespass, or climb anything if you do this one right. Please be respectful of the houses nearby and watch out for muggles. May not always be accessible in the winter, but couldn't resist the hiding spot.
