Melsomskogen natursti: Naturstien går fra Melsom videregående skole til Melsomvik, fra Trælsodden er det felles sti med kyststien. Langs naturstien står det informasjonsplakater som omhandler natur- og kulturforhold i området. Melsom plante- og dyrefredningsområde: skal bevare to bestander med lauvtrær med sitt artsmangfold og de naturlige økologiske prosesser som er viktige for dyrenes livsmiljø. For området gjelder at vegetasjonen er fredet mot tekniske inngrep. Innsamling av insekter er forbudt. Annen aktivitet som kan skade eller ødelegge for verneformålet, så som forsøpling, motorferdsel, camping/telting, større arrangementer og bålbrenning er forbudt i området. Riding i Melsomskogen er bare tillatt på merkede ridestier!
