Geocache Description:

You must follow the park rules, STAY ON THE TRAIL till you get to the cache area. You will be on two trails the Fossil Valley Trail and the Cattail Trail. These two trails connect to make a three-mile loop of trails with steep terrain and seven caches.

The CEDAR RIDGE PRESERVE is at 7171 Mountain Creek Parkway if you head south on 1382 off of I-20 and turn left on Eagle Ford and right on Mountian Creek Parkway. The center is open dawn till dusk and is closed on Mondays.

There lots of trails in this center 633 acres with 10 miles of hiking trails. You should do 3 things: 1- Pick-up a map for 50.cents, 2-bring lots of water, 3- mark the vistor center as a waypoint.

The Cattails Trail is the trail your looking for it will connect with the Fossil Trail (you can take either trail) the cache is hidden as far back as I could get without leaving the center. It is about 30' off a side trail off the main trail.

This cache is very staight forward and easy to find but a little hard to get there and back. The GPS will show it close to 1382 but you can't get to it -- a big fence is in the way.
